We founded our “Casa Waslala”, an exclusive guesthouse for pilgrims, in June 2006. The house is a 19th century construction, which we have rehabilitated while maintaining its original character and personality. It is located 3 minutes from the beautiful Plaza Mayor on the Camino de Santiago route; between the two churches: Santa Maria La Mayor and San Pedro.
The name of Casa Waslala is inspired by the novel “Waslala, the search for a lost civilization” written by the Nicaraguan writer and poet Gioconda Belli.
Why a Pension only for pilgrims? Because we offer personal attention in a family environment based on our experience as pilgrims and we want to give what we do not find on the road in many places
